What is SII

The role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) has been growing in both international and national forums. This position, of course, comes with significant responsibilities, especially in maintaining its status as an essential component in building and expanding the practice of democracy, social justice, and climate justice. The global demands surrounding mastery of communication, technology, transparency, and accountability are inevitable and cannot be addressed on a case-by-case or partial basis. Organizations must have a clear conceptual and operational framework if they wish to continue making a sustainable impact on development, securing funding partnerships, and maintaining their organizational credibility. To this day, CSOs continue to face numerous issues related to accountability, credibility, and competence. 

The SHEEP Indonesia Institute (SII) is an institute designed to be a learning and empowerment partner for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Indonesia, helping them achieve institutional accountability and sustainability.

In developing partnerships for the capacity building of CSOs, SII refers to the best practices of the SHEEP Indonesia Foundation (YSI) in formulating and implementing organizational governance systems, program development and innovation, and network expansion. The SII consulting team consists of senior YSI staff who have been tested and proven, with at least 5 (five) years of managerial and program development experience.
